The management of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, under the leadership of Prof. Bashir Garba on Wednesday, 18th of February, 2026 announced Wednesday, 4th of March, 2026 as the new date for the 2025/2026 academic session matriculation ceremony.

The ceremony, earlier scheduled for the 25th day of February, will have the students taking their oaths and officially becoming students of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.

In a memo signed by the Senior Assistant Registrar, Mas’udu A. Abdullahi, on behalf of the Vice Chancellor memo, requested all relevant offices to commence preparation for the ceremony.

Officials were also instructed to notify matriculating students and the entire university community about the new date to ensure proper awareness and full participation in the ceremony.
