With the closing of the premier league winter transfer window on 2nd of February, clubs are now finally set to submit their final squad list today, 5th of February, 2025.

The English clubs, having completed all loan or permanent deal are to resubmit their updated full squad list for the rest of the season reflecting all new signings, departures and retained players.

This exercise is an important one as it shows the eligible players to field for the subsequent competition matches.

After submission, clubs will be unable to make further changes to their squad list until the next registration in the summer. Lots of signings were made from other league, within the league to strengthen more the squad.

During the january transfer, some clubs maintained their squad opting for stability rather than additions.

Notable signings were Antonie Semenyo from Crystal Palace to Manchester City, Oscar Bobb to Fulham from Manchester City, Tyrique George to Everton on loan from Chelsea, amongst others.

Looking forward to the other half of the season, the league is expected to be more competitive and interesting because of the quality of the players signed.
